Stacey Johnson-Cosby was in attendance so we had her up to announce that the South Kansas City Alliance will have several Missouri State Legislators to talk about the upcoming session and what will be big issues for Missouri. That will be Monday night, November 13th at 6pm, at the South Patrol Station on Bannister Road.
She also mentioned that there was a plan to de-annex 95 acres from Kansas City to Lee’s Summit for a large retail, residential, sports and restaurant complex. They will announce a public meeting to discuss that in more depth and specifically whether they are in support or not.
We shared that Kansas City Public Schools is back to the drawing board on plans to sell Robeson but a community center is still not out of the question. Interim use proposals are still being accepted for Bingham.
