Committee List: See attached.
Reports of Standing Committees:
Contractors List: Mary Lewis will work on the list.
Dumpster Day: This will be held in May, 2008. It has not been decided whether it will be the 1st or 2nd weekend.
Grants: Kurtis is looking at getting a historical marker and adding a rain garden at Tower Park. We are not a 501c so we will need to piggy-back on Southtown. Garth will do some follow up on this issue.
Newsletter: Kathie is not sure of the status, there is an apparent delay in the new printing process, but she will ride herd on it.
Website: Angie is meeting with Safia to go over the website. She is looking into getting a flash movie incorporated into the website.
Membership: Linda Trigg advised that we have 415+ members.
CPAC: John Bozarth reported that crime has declined over the last couple of months but 911 needs to be utilized. Kurtis reported that there was a clerical error in the wrong district but there is a possibility of a temporary light at 75th & Holmes. Redistricting re the Police has not firmed up yet so there is nothing to report.
Spring Yard Sale: Larry reported that it will be 06/06/2008 and 06/07/2008 and Ward Parkway Homes and West Waldo will participate. Leftovers will be dropped off at Broadway Methodist Church on 06/12/2008. This will be a “free for all”.
Home Improvements/Landscaping: Carolyn Lidge is working on rain gardens in her district, the 1st.
Waldo Fall Festival: This will be 09/20/2008 per Marty Hatten. More to follow.
Community Outreach: John Bozarth will continue with CPAC and the Waldo Business Association and Garth will also attend WABA and other regular events.
Lew’s Bar & Grill: Angie went to the meeting with them and any action has been postponed until 07/22/2008.
Larry Roth spoke about the house on McGee alongside the church at 75th and McGee. The house may be donated to the church. There may be a zoning issue because of the expansion of church property.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:45 PM by Garth Stocking. The next general meeting will be at 10:00 AM on 02/02/2008 at the Waldo Library. Carolyn Lidge motioned that the meeting be adjourned and Betsy Bunce seconded.
